What this page tells you

The PMACS VPN is Ivanti Secure Access (auto-upgraded from Pulse Secure in October 2023; requires Windows 10/11 21H2+ or macOS Big Sur+). Install via the med.upenn.edu/dart VPN instructions, connect through remote.pmacs.upenn.edu, and email medhelp@pennmedicine.upenn.edu for access problems.

Pulse Secure (VPN) Upgrade to Ivanti Secure Access

In late 2020, Ivanti, a global leader in endpoint management solutions purchased Pulse Secure. As part of this purchase, Pulse Secure has been rebranded Ivanti Secure Access.

eginning October 9th, 2023, Pulse Secure will upgrade to Ivanti Secure Access when you connect. Using Ivanti Secure Access.

Update information:
1. Upon logging into Pulse Secure you will be notified that the version requirements have not been met. The upgrade will take 1-2 minutes to completee.

2. The installation will begin after downloading. Mac computers will require you to enter your password to install.

. When the installation is complete Ivanti will connect without prompting for login. The installation does not require you to reboot your computer. If prompted to reboot you may ignore or click OK.

Ivanti Secure Access supports Windows 10/11 version 21H2, 22H2 and macOS Big Sur (11.6), Monterey (12.6.5), Ventura (13.0). If you are on an older operating system you may need to upgrade to use Ivanti Secure Access.
