Clipping Gold Audio Task Files in Natus¶
What this page tells you
In Natus (EMU database), open the recording, click the research-start annotation minus 5 minutes, use the scissors/play icon, click the end annotation plus 5 minutes, scissors/stop, then scissors/paper; uncheck all boxes except your start and all video, prune, and name the clip Gold_Audio.
- Open Natus in the VNC Viewer. Instructions are in: Exporting files from Natus (Exporting Files from Natus)
- Make sure you are viewing EMU database not EEG database (upper left corner).
- Select the patient's name on the left toolbar.
- Select the file for the date you completed research and double-click.
- Scroll through annotations until you find the research start (on the left) and click on it.
- Start 5 minutes before your research start time
- Click the icon on the top of the page with the scissors and blue play button
- Scroll through annotations until you find your end research annotation and click it.
- Stop 5 minutes after your task ends
- Click icon along top of page with scissors and red stop icon. This creates the end of the clip.
- Click the icon along the top of the page with the scissors and yellow/white paper. A new window will pop up.
- Uncheck ALL boxes EXCEPT the one at your research start time. Uncheck ALL VIDEO check boxes (INCLUDING RESEARCH). Only 1 checkbox should be filled.
- Select prune. Name clip: Gold_Audio Repeat these steps for all the research clips you need to make.
- When you're finished, close EEG by selecting small X and select cancel in pop up window. Press OK.
- Return to list of patient's recordings and clip should be there with the name you chose.
