What this page tells you
7T scan checklist: book a 2-hour CAMRIS slot under protocol 818407, confirm a physician will attend; bring ICF, W-9, C-2, demographic and MRI screening forms; meet patient in HUP6 lobby, patients get 2D CEST only, techs upload to Pedro. Seizure: call Penn Police (215) 898-7297.
Scheduling (done in advance):
- CAMRIS 2-hour slot booked under protocol 818407
- Scan added to SCHEDULE TRACKERS (Scan Scheduling Trackers (sEEG, 3T/fMRI, 7T))
- Scan added to Imaging Calendar
- Physician confirmed to attend scan (required for patients)
- Epilepsy fellows/providers emailed with updated 7T schedule
- Patient reminder sent (Gabby)
- Your Level 1 MRI Safety training is current (required for Stellar Chance access)

Day-of reminders:
- Meet patient in HUP6 lobby (3400 Spruce Street) and walk them to Stellar Chance
- Confirm physician is present before scanning a patient
- Patients get 2D CEST only; controls get 2D and 3D CEST
- Techs upload to Pedro (not Flywheel)
- Have clinician's phone number handy in case of seizure
- Check in and out of camris while at the scanner for billing purposes
- Confirm patient fills out: ICF, W9, C2, demographic form, metal screening form
- Confirm every required signature and date field is fully completed by patient/guardian and study team. Consent Signing Checklist (Consent Signing Checklist)
After the scan:
- Have Jacqui burn the CD (patient initials + birthday on label)
- Pick up CD next day and drop off to Gabby at PEC

- All Consent Notes (Consent Note Templates)
- Contact Dr. Joel Stein for any controls Control Research Scans (Control Scan Neuroradiologist Check)
Emergency (7T only): If a patient has a seizure, remove from scanner, move to gurney, notify the clinician on-site, and call Penn Police at (215) 898-7297 if ED transport is needed. Rapid Response does NOT respond to Stellar Chance.
