3T: 50% of planned enrollment recruited date must be in the future for "Anticipated" or changed to "Actual" date type.

MRI scan costs ($38,500 in years 1-3; $33,000 in year 4; $27,500 in year 5): UPENN’ s Department of Radiology,
CAMRIS service center charges $550 per scan. We will enroll 30 patients annually under the 3T MRI imaging
protocol. We will enroll 20 patients annually under the 7T MRI imaging protocol. We will enroll the majority of
normal control subjects in the first few years of the grant. In years 1-3 there will be 34 control subjects scanned on the 3T and 26 control subjects scanned on the 7T MRI protocols split evenly over the 3 years. In year 4 there will be 6 control subjects scanned on the 3T and 4 control subjects scanned on the 7T MRI. There will be no control scans in year 5. Patient/Normal Control Payments and Travel Cost ($6,660 in years 1 and 2; $6,620 in year 3; $5,960 in year 4; $5,300 in year 5): As per currently approved IRB protocols patients and normal controls, funds are requested to pay research subjects for participating in the study at the rate of $50 per subject per 3T scan and $90 per subject per 7T scan. We also request funds to provide travel reimbursement for epilepsy subjects who are unable to obtain transportation to the research scans ($2,000 annually).

30 patients annually = 90 patients total

  • mark the 45th patients date of consent. that will be the 50% mark

34 controls from years 1-3 = 34 controls total

  • 50% would be 17th control
  • so sort REDCap 3T Controls from 3/1/2021 and on (by date) to find the date when the 17th patient was recruited
  • mark the 17th patient's date of consent. that will be the 50% mark

7T Information 2023 Stuff-
20 patients annually = 60 patients total

  • 50% would be 30th patient
  • so sort REDCap 7T Patients from 3/1/2021 and on (by date), to find the date when the 30th patient was recruited
  • mark the 30th patient's date of consent. that will be the 50% mark

26 controls from years 1-3 = 26 controls

  • 50% would be the 13th control
  • so sort REDCap 7T Controls form 3/1/2021 and on (by date), to find the date when the 13th patient was recruited
  • mark the 13th patient's date of consent. that will be the 50% mark
