Adding a Non-Penn / New Hire to a Study¶

Five-step checklist for adding a non-Penn collaborator or new hire to a Penn-IRB study: get PennKey and REDCap account, request HSERA access (ORG code 4666), submit an HSERA personnel modification with CITI certificate, add to REDCap projects/DAGs, then update the study personnel list.
Follow these steps when adding a non-Penn person to a study where Penn is the IRB of record or a new hire that needs the things below!
Step 1: Follow these steps to get them a pennkey and REDCap account (if needed)
- REDCap Account Requests (Requesting a REDCap Account)
Step 2: Request an HSERA account for them
- https://upenn.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1FVGNnePNAwraiW
- You will need their 8 digit Penn ID# and pennkey
- For "4 digit ORG code" put 4666
Step 3: Create a modification in HSERA to add personnel
- The person you are adding will need to complete their CITI Biomedical Research-Human Research certificate in order to be added

Step 4: Adding to REDCap projects
- Once the IRB approves this personnel modification request, you can now add this person to the appropriate projects/DAGs in REDCap
Step 5: Update the study personnel list** (kept by the lab manager; location to be confirmed)
