sEEG Phase II Processing: Overview & Timeline

What this page tells you

Overview of the stereoEEG (phase II) pipeline: CNT collects, processes, and uploads implant patients' EEG so others can use it. Processed and uploaded data are due within one week after the patient is explanted from the EMU.

Introduction

Some refractory epilepsy patients may also be candidates for stereoEEG (also known as an intracranial implant) to better localize their epileptic onset zone. This is considered phase II of testing. They will get implanted with depth electrodes, stay in the EMU for about a week or two, and have their seizures recorded. As part of the staff and research team for the CNT, we collect this EEG data, process it, and upload it so other researchers and clinicians can use the data for their own projects.
