PennBox¶
What this page tells you
PennBox requires a PennKey with a qualifying PennCommunity affiliation. Workaround for outside collaborators: they create a free personal box.com account and you share your PennBox folders with them. Written by Joshua Asuncion, 6/7/24.
PennBox access without a Penn affiliation¶
If you have a PennKey and one of the following affiliations in PennCommunity: Student, Faculty, Staff, Temporary Staff, Service Provider, Contingent Worker, Emeritus Retired Faculty/Staff, or HUP Corporate (HCOR), you are able to get access to PennBox. If you do not have one of the above affiliations, you cannot get PennBox access.
Here is a unofficial workaround:
A user can register for a free account (https://www.box.com/pricing/individual) and then you can share access to your Penn Box folders with them. As far as I can tell as long as they are accessing files/folders created by PennBox user there are little to no restrictions.
