PennChart Research Billing Review

What this page tells you

Review a patient's research billing charges in PennChart: Epic > Research > Patients needing research billing review, mark non-study charges as reviewed. Request billing dashboard access by ticket (215-662-7474), then run the 'Patients Needing Research Billing Review (Coordinator)' report.

To Review billing charges for a patient, follow the steps below:
**put in ticket to get access to billing dashboard (for Research Home Dashboard and Research Learning Home Dashboard. number: 215-662-7474)

1. Type in patient MRN
2. accept
3. Epic (top left corner)
4. research
5. uncheck dashboard on the lefthand side
6. Patients needing research billing review
7. mark as reviewed if the charge is under "Non-study charges"
8. accept (leave generic comment)

Once you get access to the billing dashboard, you can access the billing dashboard from your home dashboard

search: Patients Needing Research Billing Review (Coordinator) 

• click the play button on the right to run report
• go through patients that need to be cleared
